Inspired by the sudden dramatic shedding of leaves the the Almond tree seen from my studio doors, this work gathers a moment of transition as it unfolds. Forms loosen, shift, and settle into one another, holding the warmth of what is passing even as it gives way.
Layers build and wear back, carrying traces of change — not as loss, but as inevitable movement. The surface holds a soft tension between holding on and letting go, where colour deepens, fragments disperse, and something new begins to take shape.
